Pillows Anyone?
I was browsing Etsy this morning and came across one of my absolute favorite pillow shops, Festive Home Decor, and thought I'd share them with you! Throw pillows can add that perfect pop of color in any decor and you know I'm not one to shy away from color! This shop offers bright, bold patterns in great sizes for an even better price! Let's take a look at some of my favorites.
My newest favorites!!
I think I need this pink chevron!!
Just like the fabric in my red room, only in pink!
Are you in love yet?! You must check out their shop if you are into these fun patterns and to see more!
And some of my own pillows from Festive Home Decor:
Red and white polka dot, and the red and white bamboo lattice.
Back left-pink and white damask, and the back right-green and white chevron.
I promise this was not a paid advertisement! I just love them so much and thought you might too! ;) Which one is your favorite? I'm really considering the top two for my living room.

Lettered Inspiration
I have had this idea in my head for a while now. I really want to make a lettered sign in my office above my desk saying "Silver Lining". One reason being that it's an inspirational saying, and the other obviously represents my business. I originally thought that I would buy letters premade and hang them.
I've had my eye on these from Urban Outfitters.
I've had my eye on these from Urban Outfitters.
They come in different styles and I thought about painting them which would be fun for an eclectic feel.
BUT...
The more I think about it, I think I'd rather try my hand at a DIY project of cutting the letters out of a sheet of wood. Possibly using some sort of cursive script so they are all connected. Here's a little inspiration:
I'm confident with a jig saw-but not so confident with my lettering skills so we'll see how this one turns out!
Which do you like better? I am 99% sure I am leaning towards the DIY version mostly because it will be more economical.
This and That
Sorry for the lack of interesting posts lately. My life these past couple of weeks has consisted of work, work, and more work! My work is fun though, so don't feel too sorry for me ;) I have had a few custom window treatment and home decor jobs, in addition to the new jewelry I have been making. I thought I'd just go ahead and share a few pieces so that I don't completely drop off the face of blog world!
In other news...I am approaching 200 followers and once I do I believe a giveaway is in order ;)

There you have it! Many more new items in the shop! Hope you are having a great week!

A thing for turquoise
I am noticing I have a serious thing for turquoise. I like it paired with just about any color-pink, red, yellow, green, white, purple-all good turquoise companions!
Here are some new goodies in the shop-almost all featuring a turquoise appearance!

A large cheerful vintage turquoise enamel daisy hangs on bright red vintage glass beads.
A long necklace featuring turquoise glass briolettes that fade to aqua, then white in the center.

A whimsical bracelet featuring turquoise faceted glass beads and a gold sparrow!
No turquoise here, but new in the shop is a great nautical or patriotic necklace for this summer featuring a vintage enamel flower and upcycled bright red vintage beads!
So there you have it! Just a few of my new pieces showing off my love of turquoise! What colors are you drawn to this summer?

Silver Lining Anthroholic Style
A few years ago my friend Elizabeth sent me a link to a blog that she thought was right up my alley. She and I were working together at the time and she knew my love of Anthropologie. I really had not yet entered the world of blogs, but I clicked on the link and I was hooked!
The link took me to an amazing community of self proclaimed "Anthroholics" with Kim being the author of the blog. She shares her inspiring daily outfits, mostly styled in Anthropologie clothing. Kim is such a sweetheart and builds genuine relationships with her readers, and over time she and I have developed a great friendship! If you haven't already, you must check out Anthroholic!
Kim and I share a love of vintage and vintage inspired style, so she just happens to be a fan of Silver Lining as well! I now present to you 'Silver Lining in Real Life' Anthroholic style!
Kim is wearing her glass pearl cluster necklace from Silver Lining Decor. Similar necklaces can be found here, here, here and here!
As always, if you would like to be featured in your Silver Lining jewelry, send your photos to silverliningdecor1@yahoo.com.

The itsy bitsy spider
Um, this spider wasn't so itsy bitsy. In fact, the way I remember it now that I'm sitting in my safe, cozy house, it was the size of a small reptile!! ICK!
Let's back up a bit. Last week while watering my strawberries who were flourishing in their little raised wooden bed, I saw what looked like a huge black claw sticking out of one corner of the bed where there was a little hole in the dirt. The "claw" was tending to a dime size white sack to which I blasted with water and RAN!
A few days later I went back to my strawberries thinking that spider must be long gone. I stuck my hand in to admire a few berries that were just about ready to be plucked and about an inch away from my hand was a long string of web with about 50 tiny spiders on it. Needless to say-I ran again.
Tonight was the icing on the cake. While watering the rest of my plants I decide that I'll water my strawberries after abandoning them for almost a week, thinking that I could possibly flush away any of the smaller spiders, and there she was. The mother of all spiders.
Yes!! A black widow!! OMG. I may sound like a real "girl" right now but me and spiders are not friends. In fact, I think she and I have a date with Raid tomorrow. I've already said my goodbye's to the strawberries. There's just no possible way my hand with ever go back into that bed again. Bleh.

Front Page News
I woke up to some exciting news today! My new necklace made front page on Etsy! If you don't already know, that's like a really big deal ;) Here's a screen shot in case you didn't already see!
As exciting as this is, there's also a little bit of "that's how my luck goes" because I had just deactivated half of my shop to take it to a local summer festival! Oh well, still so very happy to have made it!
Happy weekend everyone!

Ray of Sunshine
So yesterday I did a little antiquing(see previous post) and came home with some cute little jewelry pieces I was just itching to revamp! I could not be happier with how this necklace turned out! It is so bright and cheerful, and will surely fit nicely into a summer wardrobe!
I had previously mentioned that I would likely turn these flowers into bracelets, but after playing around a bit I liked it more as a necklace! I may just even have to make one of these for myself!
Hope you're having a lovely Wednesday! I'm off to get a slurpee and try to beat this heat!!
